Elisa Buda-Morreale » WELCOME!

I am wishing you a year full of good health, happiness, love, and laughter! This month is a pivotal point in your child's 5th grade year. At this point of the year, we see so much growth. Students are familiar with their teacher's expectations, are used to our 5th grade routine, and are developing and blooming academically. 5th graders are still working on how to be responsible and how to balance their time. We will be spending time on continuing to develop these skills as well as focusing on organization and how to be a resourceful student.
Below is an update on Memory Books from our 5th grade promotion committee.
Thank you,
Ms. Morreale
Welcome to Mrs. Morreale's Magnificent 5th Grade Class!!
I am so excited about this year and eager to have the opportunity to teach your child. Your child will learn and discover many new concepts. Fifth grade is a pivotal year filled with responsibility, organizational skills, and problem solving.  When your child enters into this classroom they will become part of a community of life-long learners.
Many students ordered their fall supplies through our school supply program at the end of the year last year.  I am hoping that we will have these pre-ordered supplies already when you arrive to the classroom. If you did not order through the district, please take a look at the Back to School Page on this site. It would be great if you could have your supplies here by Monday, August 27th. We will organize all of the supplies on this day and talk about how they will be used.
Another exciting event that will be happening this year is AstroCamp (September 26th-28th). This is earlier than we have ever gone away to camp and will be the first time our school has gone to AstroCamp. On the AstroCamp page you will find some forms to fill out for the camp if your child is interested in going and you would like to fill-out health forms in advance. We will be sending other information home once school starts and will talk at Back to School Night about this fun experience more.
I look forward to meeting you at the beginning of school on August 22nd. Please remember that the first day of school is a minimum day. Dismissal will be at noon. Lunch will not be served in the cafeteria that day.
Mrs Weiss and I are working together to make this a memorable year for your child! We can't wait to get started!
