I have been teaching first grade at Point Vicente since 2000. First grade is a wonderful year and I enjoy watching the progress the children make during their time in Room 5.

Wacky Wednesday

March 4th is the wackiest day of the year! Wear your hair crazy or your shirt on backwards, it is up to you!

March 6th Field Trip

We will be going to El Camino to see a play. Your child will need a signed permission slip for the even. The link is below

Valentine's Day

We will be doing a simple Valentine Exchange on February 14th. Handing out cards or treats is totally optional but if your child brings in a card or treat for one student they need to bring one for everyone on the list. We have one student who is vegan, so if you buy candy, please provide a vegan candy for them. Examples of vegan candies are

If this helps to keep track of the books your kids want take quizzes on, please have them fill in the titles with correct spelling. Otherwise, any paper will do.
