Student Council is a representative assembly for students, in which they can become involved in the matters of the school, while working in partnership with school staff and parents for the benefit of the school and the students. Officers are elected through a voting process and are encouraged to be role models for fellow students while fulfilling their duties as their office demands. Each class sends two representatives to the meeting to be part of the decision making at Point Vicente and then returns to share the results of the meetings. Permitting children to have a role in their school’s decision making allows them to feel more involved and accountable for the overall climate of the school. Student Council encourages students to strive for excellence both in the classroom and out on the playground.
